Belfast southpaw McKenna is one of the biggest personalities in boxing and was already famous by the time he was a teenager.
‘The Mighty Celt’ takes his name from the 1995 film he starred in alongside the likes of American siren Gillian Anderson, James Bond villain Robert Carlyle and Taggart’s Ken Stott. McKenna won acclaim for his role.
Although a talented actor, boxing has always been McKenna’s calling. Initially taking up the sport at eight years of age, McKenna became a seven-time Irish champion, an U18 European bronze medallist and a Four Nations silver medallist.
McKenna, who turned professional in 2012 after 120 wins from 129 amateur fights, likes to cook and listen to music in his spare time.
